Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar for richer flavor)
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Optional Add-ins:
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until combined.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Sprinkle in baking soda and salt, then gently fold in the flour until just combined. Do not overmix.
- If using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
Use very ripe bananas (with brown spots) for the best flavor and moisture.
For extra softness, add 2 tablespoons of sour cream or yogurt to the batter.
