Tiramisu Cake

This Tiramisu Cake combines the richness of traditional tiramisu with a visually stunning presentation. A delicate sponge base is layered with creamy mascarpone filling and dusted with cocoa powder, giving it the signature tiramisu flavor. Coconut flakes around the sides add a twist to the classic dessert, making it both visually appealing and delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Coconut flakes (for decoration)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cream Layer:
    • In a bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract together until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  2. Soak the Ladyfingers:
    • In a shallow dish, pour the cooled coffee. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee, making sure it doesn’t get too soggy. Arrange the soaked ladyfingers in a round cake pan, forming the base layer.
  3. Layer the Cake:
    • Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the soaked ladyfingers, smoothing it evenly. Then, dip more ladyfingers in coffee and arrange them on top of the cream layer.
  4. Final Layer:
    • Add the remaining mascarpone cream over the second layer of ladyfingers. Smooth it out to cover the entire surface.
  5. Decorate:
    • Sift cocoa powder over the top of the cake to create a smooth, chocolatey layer. Sprinkle coconut flakes around the edge of the cake for added texture and flavor.
  6. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible, to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to set.
    • Before serving, garnish with fresh mint leaves on top for a final touch of color and freshness.

Enjoy your homemade Tiramisu Cake, a perfect treat for any occasion!
