Biscuits from the Heart

Recipe: Biscuits from the Heart

These simple, yet delicious biscuits require only three ingredients and are the perfect combination of buttery, flaky goodness. Despite their ease, they taste like you’ve spent hours in the kitchen. Ideal for a quick snack, breakfast, or to serve with a cup of tea, these biscuits are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients (Makes about 12 biscuits):

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Mix the Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine the flour and sugar.
    • Slowly add the heavy cream, mixing until a soft dough forms. The dough should be slightly sticky but workable.
  3. Shape the Biscuits:
    • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead it a few times to bring it together.
    • Pat the dough into a rectangle, about 1 inch thick. Using a biscuit cutter or a glass, cut the dough into rounds.
  4. Bake the Biscuits:
    • Place the biscuit rounds on the prepared baking sheet, close together but not touching.
    • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.
  5. Serve:
    • Let the biscuits cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm with butter, jam, or just as they are!

Tips:

  • You can add a pinch of salt for extra flavor, though it’s optional.
  • For a sweeter treat, sprinkle a little extra sugar on top before baking.
